Stonehenge was built in three stages from approximately 3000 BC and is Europe's most famous prehistoric monument. The alignment of the stone circle leaves little doubt that it is connected with the sun and passing seasons and that the constructors had a sophisticated understanding of arithmetic and astronomy. This unique attraction is now designated a World Heritage site by UNESCO although scholars still argue about how it was actually built.

Perhaps you may have already visited Stonehenge, in which case you must see the wonderful stone circle known as Avebury Henge. The Avebury complex is one of the principal ceremonial sites of Neolithic Britain that you can visit today. It is the largest and undoubtedly the most complex of Britain's surviving henge monuments and has been named the second best World Heritage site. More importantly you are able to walk amongst the stones. Breathtaking!

While absorbing the grandeur you have just seen your chauffeur guide will take you to a magical village that has been frozen in time and is a firm favourite for film and TV producers, most notably for its picturesque streets and historic cottages, untouched by modern alterations.

After lunch your journey's destination is Bath. The Romans channelled Bath's hot sulphurous waters into elaborate thermal pools some two thousand years ago thus creating the still operational world famous Roman Baths. Today the city of soft mellow stone encompasses not only the baths but also the beautiful Bath Abbey, Robert Adams's Pulteney Bridge, and the most majestic street in Britain, the Royal Crescent. Its streets are lined with boutiques, expensive galleries, antique shops and fine restaurants and it makes a fascinating place to just stroll around and soak up the atmosphere while losing yourself in a daydream of Georgian high society. A city of perfectly preserved beauty.

As your journey is as important as your destination then sit back and relax in one of our luxurious vehicles. Our prices are per vehicle NOT per person and include your chauffeur guide, collection and return to your central London hotel but not entrance fees where applicable, parking or meals.
